The False Spring Queen is a mini-album about regrowth, about the ways in which I've been saved, about the calming effect the Spring Equinox has on my very soul. It's an inherently flawed narrative about the heroic nature of girlhood. It's trying to teach myself how to cry again. It's picking up a guitar for the first time in five years. It's trashing my entire wardrobe on a whim. It's saying no to the blackout nights that almost killed me. It's spending a summer laughing comfortably, with flowers in my hair and the wind ruffling my dress as I sip on a beer, thanking myself for not giving up and ending it all. It's for you, for everyone who has sheltered me with their kindness and hospitality. Thank you.

Special thanks to Casey Robertson and Bella Mazzetti for helping cultivate this release with their kind words and support. Thanks to Ilana for descending onto this project like a sadcore angel to push me in the right direction. Thanks to Lily Mastrodimos for giving me the courage to follow through with this. Special thanks to Dre Szegedy-Maszak, Liv Bruce and Ben Hopkins for giving me a space and a voice to be myself. Thanks to the entire Space Mountain crew. Thanks to all who have booked and supported me when I knew in my heart that I had earned and deserved nothing. Thanks to the family, friends, and mutual online penpals who have made this little mini-album possible.
The world is quiet here.
